Embodiment 1

[0183] By kneading 100 parts by weight of high-cis polybutadiene (trade name "BR-730", manufactured by JSR Corporation), 28 parts by weight of methacrylic acid, 34 parts by weight of magnesium oxide and 0.75 parts by weight of diperoxide Cumene to obtain a rubber composition. The rubber composition was placed in a mold having upper and lower mold halves, each with a hemispherical cavity, and heated at 170° C. for 25 minutes to obtain a center with a diameter of 15 mm.

[0184] By kneading 100 parts by weight of high-cis polybutadiene (the above "BR-730"), 25.5 parts by weight of zinc diacrylate (trade name "Sanceler SR", manufactured by Sanshin Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), 5.0 parts by weight of Zinc oxide, an appropriate amount of barium sulfate, 0.2 parts by weight of 2-naphthylthiol, and 0.75 parts by weight of dicumyl peroxide were used to obtain a rubber composition. A half shell is formed from this rubber composition. The center is covered with two of these half shell...

Embodiment 2 to 18

[0188] [Examples 2 to 18 and Comparative Examples 1 to 7]

[0189] Golf balls of Examples 2 to 18 and Comparative Examples 1 to 7 were obtained by the same method as in Example 1, except that the center, inner envelope, outer envelope, inner cover, and outer cover are shown in Tables 11 to 15 below outside. The composition of the centers is detailed in Table 1 below. The compositions of the inner envelope and the outer envelope are detailed in Tables 2-3 below. The compositions of the inner and outer cover layers are detailed in Tables 4-5 below. The hardness of the core is shown in Tables 6-10 below. Neither of the golf balls of Comparative Examples 1 and 2 had an inner envelope. None of the golf balls of Example 4 and Comparative Examples 1, 2, and 6 had an inner cover.

Abstract

A golf ball 2 includes a core 4, an inner cover 6, and an outer cover 8. The core 4 includes a center 10, an inner envelope layer 12, and an outer envelope layer 14. The inner envelope layer 12 is formed by a rubber composition being crosslinked. The rubber composition includes: a base rubber (a); a co-crosslinking agent (b); a crosslinking initiator (c); and an acid and / or a salt (d). The co-crosslinking agent (b) is: (b1) an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms; or (b2) a metal salt of an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms.

Description

[0001] This application claims priority from Japanese Patent Application No. 2012-123720 filed on May 30, 2012. The entire contents of this Japanese patent application are incorporated by reference in this application. technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a golf ball. More specifically, the present invention relates to a golf ball that includes a center, an inner wrapper, an outer wrapper, and a cover. Background technique [0003] The most important requirement of golfers for golf balls is flight performance. In particular, golfers value flight performance when a shot with a driver is made. Flight performance is related to the resiliency of the golf ball. When a golf ball with excellent resilience is hit, the golf ball flies at a high speed, thereby achieving a relatively long flight distance. [0004] Golfers also value the spin performance of a golf ball. When the turning speed is high, the flight is shorter. A golfer can easily stop a golf ball...
