Abstract

The invention relates to a traditional Chinese medicinal composition for treating epistaxis. The traditional Chinese medicinal composition is prepared from the following traditional Chinese medicinal raw materials: 10-30g of radix ophiopogonis, 10-45g of radix scrophulariae, 10-60g of rehmannia root, 10-40g of bidentate achyranthes root, 10-70g of herba orostachyos, 10-45g of cuttlefishes, 10-50g of junci medulla, 10-50g of phoenix-tail fern, 10-50g of nepeta glechoma benth, 10-60g of herba geranii, 10-35g of rhizoma nardostachyos and 10-50g of roses. The traditional Chinese medicinal composition disclosed by the invention, on 143 patients of epistaxis, clinically cures 188 cases, is effective on 22 cases and is invalid on 3 cases, thus achieving a total effective rate of 97.9% and a curing rate of 82.5%; the composition is significant in curative effect and less in possibility of epistaxis relapse.
