Abstract

The invention provides a method for detecting the quality of plumeria rubra L. medicinal material or plumeria rubra L. extract. The method comprises the following steps: detecting the quality of dried flowers and extract of plumeria rubra L. of apocynaceae plumeria L. plants by virtue of an HPLC method; and determining by adopting the high performance liquid chromatography method, wherein chromatographic conditions are as follows: octadecyl bonded phase silica gel is used as a filling agent, acetonitrile-0.5% phosphoric acid water (at a ratio of 8:92) is used as a mobile phase and the detection wavelength is 210nm. The inventor researches and finds that 15-demethylated plumieride is one of iridoid glycoside components in plumeria rubra L. and the content is relatively high; and the method can be used for quality detection and control of the flowers of plumeria rubra L. According to the method provided by the invention, the content of 15-demethylated plumieride in plumeria rubra L. is determined by adopting the HPLC method for the first time, and scientific basis is provided for quality standards of plumeria rubra L.
