[0035] In a preferred embodiment, the washing machine 1 ( figure 1 ) has an lye container 3 in the housing 2 , in which the washing drum 4 is mounted rotatably about an axis 5 and can be driven by a drive unit (not shown). The washing drum 4 is loaded with laundry 7 through a (not shown) filling opening. Warm water is supplied to a flushing device 10 , in particular a detergent flushing device, via a warm water injection 8 and cold water via a cold water injection 9 . The flushing device is connected on the output side to the lye container 3 via an input line 11 . The warm and cold water injections are connected to the domestic water supply on the input side. The temperature of warm and cold water is related to the ambient and conditioning conditions of the domestic water supply. Preferably the warm water has a temperature between 50°C and 60°C.
