Problems solved by technology

[0002] At present, the conventional method for measuring the content of hydrogen sulfide in gas is to use a hydrogen sulfide detection tube. The detection result is greatly affected by the tightness of the reagent filling inside the detection tube, the ambient temperature and the intake velocity, and the reaction speed of hydrogen sulfide and solid matter is slow. Poor repeatability, the repeatability is generally 10-20% of the measurement results
The main component in the detection tube is lead acetate, which pollutes the environment after being discarded and is difficult to dispose of

Embodiment Construction

[0015] The patent of the present invention is described in detail below.

[0016] 1. Sampling and preparation:

[0017] 1. Instruments used: alkaline burette (25ml, division 0.1ml), absorption bottle (150ml), drop bottle (25ml), gas flow meter (division 20ml)

[0018] 2. Reagents used: sodium hydroxide standard solution (0.01mol / L), methyl red-methylene blue indicator (0.1% (2:1)), saturated aqueous solution of silver sulfate (15g of analytically pure silver sulfate was dissolved in 1000ml desalted water for later use).

[0019] 3. Sampling 100-2000ml with an aluminum-plastic airbag or a silicone rubber airbag (to avoid adsorption of hydrogen sulfide gas in the sample) at room temperature without residual liquid (see Table 1 below for details).

[0020] 4. Accurately measure 50ml of saturated silver sulfate solution into a gas absorption bottle, and add 3 to 5 drops of methyl red-methylene blue indicator. Titrate with 0.01mol / L sodium hydroxide solution until the color of t...

Abstract

The invention relates to a detection method and particularly relates to a method for measuring the content of hydrogen sulfide in gas by titrimetric analysis. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps: quantifying the volume V1 of the gas containing the hydrogen sulfide, and absorbing the gas with a saturated silver sulfate solution; (2) additionally arranging a methyl red-methylene blue indicator into the saturated silver sulfate solution, performing titration with a standard sodium hydroxide solution, stopping titration when the color of the mixed solution is changed from purple red into greyish green, and accurately calculating the content of the hydrogen sulfide in the gas according to the volume V and the concentration C of the consumed standard sodium hydroxide, wherein a calculation formula is that H2S(ppm)=C*V*22.4*10<6> / (2V1). The method can be used for measuring 5-200,000ppm of the hydrogen sulfide in the gas, a repeatability error is not greater than 2% of two measured results, and a reproducibility error is not greater than 5% of the two measured results.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for measuring the content of hydrogen sulfide in gas by titration analysis, which belongs to the technical field of analysis methods. The invention is suitable for measuring gas with a hydrogen sulfide content in the range of 5-200000ppm and gasification at normal temperature. Background technique [0002] At present, the conventional method for measuring the content of hydrogen sulfide in gas is to use a hydrogen sulfide detection tube. The detection result is greatly affected by the tightness of the reagent filling inside the detection tube, the ambient temperature and the intake velocity, and the reaction speed between hydrogen sulfide and solid matter is slow. The repeatability is poor, and the repeatability is generally 10-20% of the measurement results. The main component in the detection tube is lead acetate, which pollutes the environment after being discarded and is difficult to dispose of. Contents of the i...
