The weeding composition comprises pyraclonil and a second active ingredient of a sulfonylurea herbicide; the second active ingredient of the sulfonylurea herbicide is one or more of herbicides selected from bensulfuron methyl, pyrazosulfuron-ethyl, cinosulfuron, metazosulfuron, propyrisulfuron, halosulfuron-methyl or flucetosulfuron, and the weight ratio of the pyraclonil to the second active ingredient of the sulfonylurea herbicide is 20:1-1:10. The invention further relates to an application to controlling rice field weeds. The weeding composition has the advantages of being efficient, low in toxicity, good in rapidly available performance, long in lasting period, wide in weeding spectrum, capable of synthetically managing rice field weeds and the like.
