The invention discloses an SAVI proxy authentication system and method based on a local link address. The system comprises a Web Portal sub-system and an SAVI proxy authentication sub-system; the Web Portal sub-system is used for popping up a web page to prompt a user to input a user name and a password when the user is connected to the internet; and the SAVI proxy authentication sub-system is used for replacing an SAVI client side to perform authentication. The scheme aims to prevent from developing multiple SAVI authentication networking client side programs; and currently developed Windows, Linux, MAC OS, iOS and Android client sides are too many in variety and too high in operation cost.
