Abstract

The invention provides a method for grafting chrysanthemum to Artemisia abaensis. The method comprises the following steps of selecting a scion and a stock; making grafting preparation; grafting; and performing management after grafting. The chrysanthemum is a famous ornamental flower and is one of four most famous flowers in China. But the chrysanthemum has defects of easy high growing speed and easy lodging. The ornamental value of the chrysanthemum is limited to a certain extent. The problems can be basically settled by means of Asteraceae Artemisia grafting technology. The Artemisia abaensis is an Asteraceae Artemisia plant and has advantages of straight and vertical main stem and multiple branches. The Artemisia abaensis is a perennial herb and has a developed root system. Through grafting chrysanthemum to the Artemisia abaensis, high survival rate of grafted seedlings can be ensured, and furthermore defects of easy high growing speed and easy lodging can be approximately settled. Furthermore the ornamental value of the chrysanthemum is greatly improved.
