Abstract

The invention relates to a new high-strength quick-hardened Al-Mg-Si-Cu alloy used for an automobile body and a preparation method of the alloy. The alloy comprises the following components, by mass, 1-2.8 wt% of Mg, 0.3-1 wt% of Si, 0.5-1.5 wt% of Cu, wherein the ratio of Mg to Si in the alloy is more than 2, no more than 0.5 wt% of Mn, and no more than 0.2 wt% of Fe, with the balance being Al. Through increase of the ratio of Mg to Si and the Cu content, a new excessive-Mg high-Cu 6000-series aluminium alloy taking a disordered L phase as a main hardening constituent is designed. Compared with an AA6022 alloy widely applied in the industry at the present, the alloy is relatively low in T4-state yield strength, has high precipitation dynamics, baking hardenability and thermal stability during artificial aging, has no influence on corrosion resistance, and has great potential for application to an outer plate of an automobile body.
