Abstract

The invention relates to an OCS (Optical carrier suppression) octamonic optical millimeter wave generation device which comprises a laser, a radio frequency source, an amplifier and a single-arm driven mach-zehnder modulator. The laser is used for generating a continuous optical carrier signal with a designated wavelength and inputting the continuous optical carrier signal to an optical input end of the single-arm driven mach-zehnder modulator; the radio frequency source is connected with an input end of the amplifier to generate a sine wave signal with a certain frequency; an output end of the amplifier is connected with a radio frequency input end of the single-arm driven mach-zehnder modulator to amplify the sine wave signal; and the single-arm driven mach-zehnder modulator modulates the sine wave signal onto an optical carrier and generates an optical millimeter wave of which a frequency is octupled relative to a radio frequency signal. The OCS octamonic optical millimeter wave generation device disclosed by the invention has the characteristics of high reliability and low cost and is simple and flexible in structure.
