Abstract

The invention discloses a lycium barbarum polysaccharide-deer blood composition having functions of relieving fatigue and tonifying yang. Lycium barbarum polysaccharide and a deer blood dry powder asactive components are made into an oral preparation in accordance with conventional excipients and processes of the pharmaceutics, or are made into a food prepared for a meal in accordance with a health-care food process. Experiments show that the composition can significantly prolong the loaded swimming time of small mice, reduce the content of blood lactic acid and serum urea nitrogen after thesmall mice do exercise and increase the reserve amount of hepatic glycogen; compared with the fatigue relieving function of the single use of lycium barbarum polysaccharide and deer blood, the function is more comprehensive, and the effect is more effective. The composition also can significantly enhance the gonadal hormone level of rats and the activity of superoxide dismutase in testis tissues,reduces the content of malondialdehyde, enhances the antioxidant capacity of the rat, and has stronger activity than the activity of lycium barbarum polysaccharide and deer blood groups. Therefore, the composition can be used for enhancing the anti-fatigue and yang-tonifying ability of sub-health young and middle-aged men, as well as conditioning middle-aged and elderly patients with physical deficiency.
