The liquid crystal composition with negative dielectric anisotropy can meet appropriate large refractive index, also has the characteristics of large dielectric anisotropy absolute value and relatively low rotary viscosity,is excellent in performance and can realize balanced performance in all the aspects. The liquid crystal composition disclosed by the invention is applicable to a liquid crystal display in a VA or IPSmode. (The formula I and the formula II are described in the specification.).
