[0022] Described herein is a dispensing module 10 that includes an actuator housing 20 and a nozzle adapter 50 , wherein the nozzle adapter 50 is releasably coupled to the actuator housing 20 . Nozzle adapter 50 may be releasably coupled to actuator housing 20 using fastener 55 such that nozzle adapter 50 may be detached from actuator housing 20 when fastener 55 is removed from dispensing module 10 . In addition, the nozzle adapter 50 may define a fluid channel 250 that defines a simple flow path and does not contain any seals therein, thus being easily cleaned.

Abstract

A liquid dispensing module comprising a needle and an actuator housing defining: an actuator chamber having an actuator disposed therein; a body chamber; and a needle passage, the A needle passage connects the actuator chamber and the body chamber. The lower end of the needle defines the valve element, and the upper end of the needle is secured to the actuator. The dispense module also includes a nozzle adapter releasably coupled to the actuator housing, wherein the nozzle adapter defines a seal seat, a fluid inlet, a fluid channel, and a fluid outlet in fluid communication with the fluid inlet and the fluid channel . The nozzle adapter is configured to be releasably coupled to the actuator housing using one or more fasteners such that the needle extends into the fluid passage.
