An embodiment of the invention provides a visual playback system and a visual playback method for target historical geographic information data. The visual playback system comprises a sensing end, a data end, a WEB server side and a browser side, wherein the sensing end is used for collecting multi-dimensional sensing data and sending the multi-dimensional sensing data to the data end; the data end is used for receiving and storing the multi-dimensional perception data; the WEB server side executes a data query request sent by the browser side and completes data interaction with the data sideso as to obtain target multi-dimensional perception data; the browser side is used for receiving query input of a user to generate the data query request; and the browser side is further used for performing visual playback on the target multi-dimensional perception data. According to the visual playback system and the visual playback method of the invention, the multi-dimensional perception data acquired by the perception side is stored, and multi-mode playback and visual presentation are realized according to different data query requests, so that the convenience, high efficiency and overallglobality of playback and display of the target historical geographic information data are realized while the integrity of the target information is ensured.
