The invention discloses a fog computing task unloading time delay optimization method based on an improved particle swarm algorithm; a fog computing system comprises terminal nodes for task unloadingand fog nodes for receiving task processing, and one terminal node can unload a task to a plurality of fog nodes for task processing. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, initializing system parameters and an initial population, and setting the speed and position of each particle; then taking minimization of unloading time delay of the system as a target, and taking an unloading timedelay value corresponding to each particle as a fitness function value of a particle swarm algorithm; iteratively calculating the individual optimal value of each particle and the global optimal value of the whole group, evolving the speed and position of the particles, and carrying out boundary condition processing; and finally, when evolution algebra iteration meets a termination condition, stopping the algorithm, and obtaining the optimal unloading time delay of task unloading.
