The invention relates to a large liquid storage tank structure safety assessment method, which comprises the following steps: firstly, performing finite element analysis on internal and external factors which influence the health of a liquid storage tank structure by combining a mechanical principle, and constructing a structure health mechanism simulation model; secondly, constructing a structure safety evaluation model based on a belief rule base and capable of simultaneously processing various types of uncertainty qualitative and quantitative information by utilizing a mechanism simulation result, an industrial standard and expert domain knowledge; and finally, generating structure damage samples under different working conditions by using the structure health mechanism simulation model, making up the defect that a structure safety sample set is incomplete, and training the structure safety evaluation model by using the structure damage samples. The method can be used for guaranteeing the structural health of the large liquid storage tank and effectively preventing dangerous states such as deformation, inclination, cracking and collapse. According to the method, mechanism knowledge and observation data are fully fused, and the method can be applied to the safety assessment problem of the liquid storage tank in various related fields.
