Abstract

The invention relates to a mobile operating table column (28) comprising a stand (2) and a stability system (4, 5, 29) for ensuring a secure standing of the stand (2) on uneven ground, wherein the stability system (4, 5, 29) comprises the following: four extendable and retractable floor contact elements (4a-d) in four different corners of the stand (2), and floor contact surfaces (29) and an actuation unit for extending and retracting each of the four floor contact elements (4a-d). In addition, each floor contact element (4a-d) is assigned to a respective floor contact surface (29) and can be extended and retracted relative to same. Furthermore, the stability system (4, 5, 29) can adopt at least two different operating states: i) a parked state in which the stand (2) rests on the ground on at least three of the floor contact surfaces (29) and the floor contact elements (4a-d) are retracted; and ii) a secured state in which the stand (2) rests on the ground on at least three of the floor contact surfaces (29) and the floor contact elements (4a-d) are extended such that they are in contact with the ground and thereby ensure the secure standing of the stand (2) on the ground.
