Abstract

The invention discloses an external ointment for treating dairy cow mastitis. The external ointment is prepared from the following raw material medicines in parts by weight: 20g of menthol, 20g of borneol, 100g of radix rubiae, 100g of spica prunellae, 100g of herba houttuyniae, 50g of radix cirsii japonici and 50g of radix hibisci mutabilis. According to the application and the method of the ointment for treating the mastitis of the dairy cows, firstly, the dairy cows suffering from clinical mastitis are screened, then the ointment is used for treating diseased mammary glands, caudal vein blood collection and sterile milk collection are conducted on the 0th day and the 8th day of an experiment, expression conditions of inflammatory factors such as IL-1[beta], IL-6, TNF-[alpha] and the like in serum and whey are detected through ELISA, and results show that the ointment can remarkably inhibit expression of the inflammatory factors in the whey and the serum and relieve inflammatory reaction of dairy cows with mastitis, so that the externally-applied ointment can relieve inflammatory reaction of mammary glands, and has a certain treatment effect on clinical cow mastitis.
