Abstract

A dishwasher system for cleaning dishware may include: at least one shelf configured to receive a silverware basket, the basket including a plurality of partitions forming a plurality of cavities within the basket for receiving appliances to be washed, wherein each cavity includes an independent and distinct base at the bottom of the basket, the base being vertically movable within the cavity; a camshaft fixed to the shelf and operable by a gearbox configured to rotate the camshaft relative to the shelf, the camshaft disposed below the silverware basket; and a plurality of cams extending along the camshaft, at least one cam being disposed below each cavity, where each cam affects the height of the respective base as the camshaft is rotated through the gearbox to allow an appliance in the respective cavity to be intermittently lifted and exposed to spray liquid from a spray within the dishwasher.
