The ground plate 1 includes a body 4 adapted to be mounted in a bottom layer connector 5 . A number of mating posts 2 protrude from the body at intervals substantially in the same plane as the body and are adapted to mate with corresponding ground contacts on a mating card such as a PCMCIA card. Several through holes 6 are formed on the part of the body 4 and matched with the part of the connector 5 to ensure that the grounding plate structure is fixed there.
