Problems solved by technology

The arrangement and fastening of the mounting beams with the known joints requires two fitters, since the joints do not provide fastening means for the mounting beams to be butt-mounted on the joints before the U-shaped parts are bolted
In addition, fastening requires a very complicated connection mechanism with undercuts on the clamping seat and a U-shaped piece that engages behind the undercuts

Embodiment Construction

[0010] The connecting joint 10 according to the invention shown in the drawings comprises a U-shaped middle part 12, on the two leg walls of which are arranged connecting means 14. The connecting mechanism 14 is formed by a U-shaped clamp seat 16 protruding at right angles. In the illustrated embodiment, the height of the clip seat 16 is approximately half the height of the joint 10 and is open upwardly.

[0011] The connecting joint 10 according to the invention is provided for connecting mounting beams 18 , 19 , 20 , 21 arranged in a cross-butt joint. Mounting beams 18, 19, 20, 21 are in the shape of rectangular hollow profiles, which have a continuous longitudinal slit 22 in one long wall and a row of holes 24 in the opposite long wall. In the exemplary embodiment shown, two mounting beams 19 , 20 in the form of longitudinal beams 26 are abutted against each other with their long walls having rows of holes 24 . For example, this connection is by means of bolts or rivets a...

Abstract

The invention relates to a connector (10) which is used to connect assembly rails (18, 19, 20, 21) in a cross joint. In order to enable time-saving assembly carried out by a fitter, the joint connector (10) is provided with a connector device (14) consisting of an angle piece (34) with two limbs (39,40). One limb (40) of the angle piece (34) can be suspended in an opening (42) on the joint connector and the other limb (39) can be fixed to the assembly rail (18,21) inserted into a receiving element (16) of the joint connector (10).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a joint for butt-fixing a mounting beam to another mounting beam with the features stated in the preamble of claim 1 . Background technique [0002] Mounting beams are known per se. They are generally in the form of rectangular hollow profiles which have a continuous longitudinal seam on one side and usually a row of holes on the other side. The mounting beams are fastened parallel to each other and spaced apart from each other, for example by bolts, to the ceiling, so that lines, cables etc. running perpendicularly to the mounting beams can simply be fastened to the mounting beams and thus to the ceiling. [0003] A joint for fastening mounting beams of the type mentioned in the introduction is known from DE 10000092 A1. As a connecting mechanism, the connecting joint has a U-shaped clip seat, into which the mounting beam can be inserted and abuttingly connected with another mounting beam via a connecting mechanism. The con...
