Abstract

There are provided a button plate which has a small thickness and can be simply assembled and a personal portable device employing the button plate. The personal portable device includes a main body including a key pad hole, a button plate installed at the main body in which the key pad hole is formed, and a keystroke sensor part including push sensors. The button plate includes the button pattern arranged in response to a button area, a high hardness button sheet formed of a high hardness material, and a plastic sheet formed on one side of the high hardness button sheet and connecting the button pattern to each other. Since the button plate is manufactured using a thin plastic sheet and a high hardness button sheet, the button plate is kept in a slim configuration and has a soft touch while pushing a key because of a button pattern of the high hardness button sheet solves the problem of hardness.
