Problems solved by technology

[0004] The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) brightness adjustment method and system. The disclosed cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) brightness adjustment method and system adjust the voltage of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp value, to make up for the brightness difference of the LCD screen in time, so as to avoid the problem of brightness reduction caused by the increase of time

Embodiment Construction

[0026] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0027] As shown in FIG. 2 , FIG. 2 is a block diagram of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) brightness adjustment system of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the brightness adjustment system 20 includes a detection module 22 , an adjustment module 24 and a measurement module 26 . Firstly, the detection module 22 captures the current image of the LCD screen within a predetermined time, and then detects the quality of the captured image. Here, the detection module 22 can perform a detection operation based on the user's current selection, or set a certain time interval through software, for example, after the liquid crystal display is used continuously for 20 hours, the detection module 22 is automatically activated for detection within a predetermined time. Here, the detected image quality includes the brightness and con...

Abstract

In the general input / output bus (IOB) of the liquid crystal screen (LCS), the computer executable form is applied. Several groups of the time-brightness values (TBV) of cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) are stored in IOB. First, the image quality of LCS is tested via the recent image. In case the quality is poor, the instant time value and the instant practical brightness value of LCS are tested. Then, TBVs of multi-groups of CCFL are searched. According to these TBVs, the voltage across CCFL and then the recent practical brightness are regulated. This invention prevents LCS using CCFL from decreasing the brightness due to the time passing by.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for adjusting brightness of a display screen, in particular to a method and system for adjusting brightness of a liquid crystal screen using a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL). Background technique [0002] Liquid crystal displays (LCDs) have taken over the consumer information market by a large margin due to their advantages of lightness, thinness, shortness, small size, low heat and power consumption, and almost no radiation damage. Among them, thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) technology is developing rapidly, and with actual investment scale and mass production performance, it is declared that the era of high-quality displays has arrived. However, the liquid crystal display is a non-self-illuminating display, which needs to provide uniform and sufficient light to provide the brightness of the liquid crystal screen. The light source of the liquid crystal display comes from the backlight. The...
