Embodiment Construction

[0026] The vehicle antenna 100 shown in FIGS. 1a and 1b includes an antenna housing 110 and a plug connector 200 , the cover of which is not shown for reasons of clarity. A mobile radio antenna (not shown) and a GPS antenna (not shown) are fastened to the antenna housing 110 . A first coaxial plug connector 114 is provided for each antenna in the plug interface of the antenna housing 110 , wherein the coaxial plug connectors 114 are fixed rigidly on the antenna housing 110 . Its nominal position is specified by nominal dimensions, but there are tolerance-induced deviations from the nominal position. The plug connector 200 is used to electrically connect the antenna through the roof of the vehicle to the corresponding devices, which in this exemplary embodiment are a mobile radio and a GPS receiver, wherein the antenna housing 110 is located on the outside on the roof And the plug connector 200 is located inside the passenger compartment of the automobile.

Abstract

The invention relates to a motor vehicle roof antenna (100) with an antenna housing (110), inside of which at least two antennas are placed. A first coaxial plug connector (114) is assigned to each antenna. The roof antenna also comprises a plug connector (200) that has a housing (210) and a number of second coaxial plug connectors (214) that corresponds to the number of the first coaxial plug connectors (114), these second coaxial plug connectors being aligned on a plugging side of the housing (210) at predetermined positions and with a respective longitudinal axis parallel to a plugging direction of the plug connector (200). Each second coaxial plug connector (214) is assigned to a first coaxial plug connector (114) and is designed so that it can be plugged into the latter. The first coaxial plug connectors (114) are fixed in a plugging interface on the antenna housing (110), and each second coaxial plug connector (214) is placed inside the housing (20) in a manner that enables it to move in a plane perpendicular to the plugging direction, and is connected in an elastically resilient manner to at least one other second coaxial plug connector (214) via at least one electrically non-conductive elastic spring element. The elastic spring element is arranged and designed so that the second coaxial plug connectors (214) are pre-positioned at the respective predetermined position up to tolerance allowances and can be displaced in an elastically resilient manner from this position and in the plane perpendicular to the plugging direction.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an automobile roof antenna. Background technique [0002] In order to electrically connect vehicle roof antennas with multiple antennas, such as mobile radio antennas and GPS antennas, to corresponding devices, such as mobile radio equipment and GPS receivers, it has hitherto generally been provided by the housing of the vehicle roof antenna A cable is led out, which is provided with a corresponding coaxial connector on its free end. These coaxial connectors are then individually and individually connected with complementary coaxial connectors of the cables running to the equipment. However, electrical connections of this type are complex and expensive. Contents of the invention [0003] The object of the present invention is to improve a vehicle roof antenna of the above-mentioned type with regard to assembly and electrical contacting. [0004] According to the invention, the above object is achieved by the vehicle roof a...
