Abstract

A shredder adapted to encourage the settling of shredded material therein and method of shredding material. The shredder comprises the following components: a shredder head casing which limits a slit suitable for receiving the material to be crushed; a plurality of shredder blades which are configured in the shredder head casing and is suitable for crushing the material inserted into the slit; a shredder bucket which is located near the shredder head casing and is suitable for receiving the material crushed by the plurality of shredder blades; and a vibration mechanism which is arranged in the shredder and is suitable for vibrating the shredder bucket for promoting the material in the shredder.
