Abstract

The invention provides a walking stick apparatus that can be converted into a tool for seizing and holding articles which usually can not be reached. The apparatus comprises two vertical parts pivoted with each other. One end of the apparatus is a handle end and the other end is a head end. The handle end can be opened by unlocking a locking mechanism, which opens the head end to provide a holder end for seizing and holding the articles far away from the handle end. The holder is shaped for providing a flat holder part for seizing and holding the articles and a concave part for closely holding cylindrical articles. When closing the apparatus, the two vertical parts are interlocked to prevent the two parts from separating while the apparatus is used as a walking stick. The invention further provides a wider dismountable base which can fix the head of the apparatus while being used as a walking stick.
