Abstract

A plate position correction circuit of a plate formation mechanism which measures rotation speed of a motor each time the motor starts rotating and automatically fine-adjusts a plate position to the final target position of a plate when the plate reaches a slit position in the vicinity of the target position by calculating time to generate a plate formation timing signal at an appropriate plate position from the current motor rotation speed and predetermined plate position information (distance). A medal original plate (78) is temporarily stopped above a guide rail (77), a slit disk is rotated together with a plate attaching roller (75), and the number of pulses predefined from an original position is counted. The motor rotation speed is obtained when rotating the plate, and from which time taken from the slit position in the vicinity of the target position to the final target position is calculated. The plate formation timing signal is generated and the medal original plate (78) is dropped. A fluctuation in the motor rotation speed due to long-term use of the motor is automatically corrected.
