Embodiment Construction

[0065] The ticket structure shown in the figure comprises a first substrate sheet 10 and a second substrate sheet 11 on which the first sheet 10 is superimposed. In the example shown, the common substrate sheet is rectangular. Sheet 10 and sheet 11 extend together in the longitudinal direction L such that edges 10A and 10B directly overlap edges 11A and 11B.

[0066] However, in the width direction W, the substrate sheet 10 is narrower than the substrate sheet 11 so that it has an edge 10C that straddles the sheet 11 halfway and thus is separated from the edge 11C of the sheet 11 .

[0067] In the example shown, the width of sheet 10 is half that of sheet 11, so that the width of the exposed portion 11E of sheet 11 defining the single thickness portion 12 of the ticket structure is equal to the width of the twice thick portion 13 of the ticket structure . The sheet 10 is placed on the side edge 11D of the sheet 11 such that the edges 10D and 11D directly overlap.

Abstract

A lottery ticket is printed onto two substrate sheets where the sheets are laminated together with both of equal length and with the top sheet approximately half the width of the bottom sheet and arranged along one side edge of the bottom sheet leaving approximately half of the bottom sheet exposed and free to fold over the top sheet. A series of break open windows is provided in the front surface of the top sheet which can be opened by a player to expose some of the game indicia printed onto the front face of the bottom sheet and covered also by a layer of scratchoff. Some of the game indicia is located on the front surface of the bottom sheet and is covered by a layer of scratchoff material so that it is on the inside when the bottom sheet is folded over.

Description

technical field [0001] This application relates generally to the field of gaming and lotteries, and more particularly to combined ticket assemblies consisting of two laminated sheets. Background technique [0002] Lottery tickets are well known, widely marketed, and generally consist of sheet stock or cardstock on which are printed lottery information and various indicia for playing one or more games. Many of these games are instant-win games in which players can play one or more games by performing various functions, for example, scratching off a scratch-off cover, opening a pull-out tab on a disconnect ticket. Such tickets are also known as pull tags, pickle cards, pot tickets, hard cards, and charity game tickets, respectively. [0003] Break tickets are generally constructed by printing a combined sheet containing lottery indicia thereon. This slice is then cut into multiple portions. The back of this piece includes the type and serial number of the prize, etc. A sec...
