The present invention is a multi-functional box that serves as packaging, calendar stand, and as storage / carrying case. Whereas the commonly known “boxed calendars” that are currently available in the marketplace are comprised of an outer carton for packaging that is thrown away, a bound pad of paper, and a plastic calendar stand that may also be discarded, the present invention quickly and conveniently opens from its closed and locked storage / transport position to become a tilt back calendar stand for a daily calendar or pad of paper. The calendar stand can be quickly closed back into its original closed position and secured with a locking system. Stored within the box are loose sheets of paper that comprise the calendar. Further, each calendar page may provide an activity function through the present invention, that is either allowed or improved through its use of unbound pages, self-storage of said pages, and the ability to easily insert ancillary items necessary for certain activities.

Pads of embossed, self-stick paper and process and apparatus for making same

A continuous process and apparatus are disclosed for applying an adhesive coating to one surface and a release coating to an opposite surface of sheets of previously embossed and optionally decoratively printed paper, and for drying the sheets and then stacking them for processing into individual pads of embossed, self-stick, removable sheets of notepaper. Individual sheets of embossed paper are fed onto a conveyor system, and the feed and conveyor speeds are regulated so that the sheets are in slightly overlapping relationship to form an artificial web as the sheets pass continuously through release coating and adhesive coating subassemblies which continuously apply release and adhesive coatings to opposite sides of the web. Conveyor speeds downstream of the coating subassemblies are regulated to separate the web into its individual coated and embossed sheets as they pass through a dryer. A relatively high-speed stacking conveyor downstream of the dryer delivers the dried sheets one-at-a-time into a stacker where the sheets are stacked and removed to other apparatus for collating with backing sheets, cutting and trimming into multiple note pads of embossed self-stick paper.

Integrated plasticized card in a paper carrier and method of manufacture

A carrier sheet with an integrated card and preferably, but not exclusively, a magnetic strip card is described. The sheet contains printed information which is in part card information printed at a predetermined location on a front face of a carrier sheet in a card region thereof and oriented to be disposed on an outer surface of the front and a rear card panel of the card to be formed. The siliconized liner patch, containing a pressure-sensitive adhesive, is laminated on the back surface of the carrier sheet and disposed to extend over the card region. A face patch of clear poly material containing a magnetic strip is immovably secured over the card region on the front face of the paper carrier sheet. A die cut delineates card contour panels and a straight fold line separates the panel whereby they may be folded together when detached from the carrier sheet with the pressure-sensitive adhesive of the liner being transferred to the rear surface of the panels so that the panels can be folded together with their rear surface stuck together. The method of manufacture and a method of use is also described herein.

Send-reply label

A return address label having a send address label formed therein are provided in a printable sheet. The printable sheet includes a release liner, pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and face stock layer. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer may be applied to the release liner and the face stock layer may be applied to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The adhesive layer and face stock layer have an outer die cut and an inner die cut. The release liner has a release liner die cut located between the inner and outer die cuts. The outer die cut and the release liner die cut form a return address label and the inner die cut forms a send address label. The send address label is within the outer die cut of the return address label and formed by the inner die cut. The release liner die cut and outer die cut enable the return address label to be removed from the printable sheet having a portion of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer exposed about a perimeter of the send address label such that the return address label may be adhered to a substrate. The inner die cut enables the send address label to be removed from the return address label and exposing an adhesive layer of the send address label. Name and address information may be printed on the send address label and used for the return address label. The send address label is part of the return address label, therefore, the information printed on the send address label and used as the return address and may be reused as a send address. Alternatively, the return address label may be first applied to an envelope or package to be used as a send address and the send address label may be removed from the return address label and used as the return address label. The information printed on the send address label may be printed using a conventional printer.

Composite form assembly with frangible bonded layers formed in-situ

The present invention relates to a non-impact printable, laminated form construction in which two or more layers are bonded together in-situ through use of a curable compound that creates a frangible bond between the layers which upon application of sufficient peeling pressure the form components or portions will separate from the composite form assembly. The in-situ bond formation occurs by passing select treatment energy through one or more layers of the laminate in order to cure the coating and thus secure the sheets or webs together. The present invention finds uses in a number of fields where it is generally desirable to create a tag, plate or other indicia containing device that is free of adhesive.

Method of forming printable media

Ultraremovable adhesive is applied to a paper sheet to form therewith a liner sheet and the liner sheet is laminated to a cardstock sheet to form a laminate cardstock. The cardstock sheet is then die cut therethrough, but not through the liner sheet, to form cardstock cut lines that define at least in part perimeters of business cards (or other printable media). The outer face of the liner sheet is then die cut therethrough, but not through the cardstock sheet, to form liner sheet strips on a back side of the cardstock sheet. Some of the strips define cover strips covering some of the cardstock cut lines, and others of the strips define waste strips. The waste strips are then matrix removed from the back of the cardstock sheet. The resulting business card sheet construction is then fed through a printer or copier by the user and the desired indicia printed on the front sides of the business cards, while the cover strips hold the cards together as a unit sheet construction. After this printing operation, the printed cards are easily peeled off of the cover strips, ready for use. By designing the sheet construction to form in the printed media with different sizes and shapes and by including optional scored fold lines, and / or additional flexibility cut lines or flexibility perforation lines, media aside from business cards, such as post cards and greeting cards, can be constructed and used pursuant to this invention.
