Tabbed divider and pocket construction

A foldable paper sheet is formed having a sheet body portion, a sheet lower side flap extending out from a lower side edge of the sheet body portion, a pocket panel extending out from a bottom edge of the sheet body portion, and a pocket side flap extending out from a side edge of the pocket panel. The pocket side flap is folded in towards the pocket panel, the pocket panel is folded up and the pocket side flap is glued to the back face of the sheet body portion. The sheet lower side flap is folded and glued to the pocket panel. The pocket panel is thereby secured along both side edges to the sheet body portion, has an open top and thus defines a pocket on the back of the sheet body portion. The pocket panel can have a finger notch at the center of its top edge. A tab is cut out of the edge portion of the sheet body portion to form a tabbed divider sheet. The tab advantageously can be formed at any location along the edge portion including at a lower location directly adjacent to the pocket. Binder holes were punched in the paper preferably during an early production step of the foldable paper sheet. Binder holes in the pocket panel, the side edge flap and the sheet body portion are in alignment with the foldable paper sheet folded and glued. Two of the binder holes in the body portion are spaced above the pocket, and to reinforce these holes the sheet includes an upper side flap. This flap also has two binder holes which with the flap folded onto and glued to the back of the body portion align with the two body portion holes.

Full automatic page-turning scanner for documents and books

The invention provides an automatic page-turning scanning device and a method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: arranging a book to be scanned on the two table tops of a book shelving device, controlling the book shelving device to horizontally move to an appropriate position below a glass plate, lifting the two table tops to jack up the book to cling to the glass plate so as to finish scanning, drawing back the two table tops to enable the book shelving device to horizontally move back to an appropriate position to jack up the book so as to cling to a baffle and the page-turning pulley of the glass plate, moving the vacuum chuck device of a page-turning device downwards in the vertical direction to the page of the book to be sucked, sucking up, sucking up and pulling back a single page, moving the two table tops towards the glass plate simultaneously to release the single page which is drawn up, drawing down the two table tops when the page falls on the page-turning pulley at the left end of the glass plate, continuing to move the book shelving device to finish page turning, and then scanning a new page. The automatic page-turning scanning can be realized by repeating the actions of horizontal moving and page sucking. The device has the advantages of no damage to the page, low cost, simple manufacturing, convenient operation, labor and material saving, safetyand reliability.

Automatic page turning machine

The invention relates to an automatic page turning machine. The automatic page turning machine comprises a bottom plate, page rubbing mechanisms, a page supporting mechanism, a page turning mechanism, a page down-pressing mechanism and a page up-pressing mechanism. The connecting method is as follows: the page supporting mechanism is fixed at the center of the bottom plate; the page turning mechanism is positioned at the middle part of the lower side of the page supporting mechanism and just connected with the bottom plate; the page rubbing mechanisms are positioned on the two sides of the lower side of the page supporting mechanism; the page down-pressing mechanism is just connected with the bottom plate and positioned between the two groups of page rubbing mechanisms; and the page up-pressing mechanism is positioned on the upper side of the page supporting mechanism and penetrates through a rectangular groove of a page supporting plate. The automatic page turning machine provided by the invention has the advantages of good adjustability, strong adaptability, capability of conveniently turning pages forward and backward as well as capability of guaranteeing flatness of the page, can be used for character scanning and character optical identification equipment, so that these equipments have automatic page turning functions, and can be also used as assisting equipment for disabled so as to help the disabled with inconvenient hand movements in reading; and by using rubbing heads, the pages can be turned.

Drain assembly for rapid installation in sanitary vessels

The present invention provides an improved drain assembly having a drain stopper assembly in operational communication with an actuation assembly. The drain stopper assembly includes an elongate one-piece housing with a longitudinal body coextensive with proximate and distal extents of the housing and defining a lumen therein. A flange portion at the proximate extent has a fluid egress for delivery of fluids from a sanitary vessel to the housing lumen. The housing body has an inner circumferential surface of predetermined inner diameter and an outer circumferential surface of predetermined outer diameter. A linearly reciprocable drain stopper is provided that has a closure head proximate which an elongate shaft depends. The stopper reciprocates between a fully closed position, wherein the closure head obstructs the fluid egress, and a fully open position, wherein the fluid egress remains unobstructed. A securement region provided on the outer housing surface has a receiving region defined therewith and effects operational communication between the drain stopper assembly and the actuation assembly so that operation of a drain articulation member effects reciprocal motion of the drain stopper. In this embodiment, the housing, flange portion and securement region comprise an integral member. In an alternative embodiment, the drain stopper assembly has a multi-piece housing.
