Problems solved by technology

[0004] In the prior art, the congestion control function is implemented based on the RTS / CTS handshake mechanism, but the RTS / CTS handshake mechanism is not necessarily adopted in the actual network, so in a wireless network that does not use the RTS / CTS handshake mechanism, the above congestion The control method will not be implemented, and the RTS / CTS mechanism will occupy additional channel resources

Embodiment

[0031] The wireless network congestion control method with attached cross-layer design of the present invention is realized through the following steps:

[0032]1. In order to enable the confirmation frame to carry congestion status information, we define an idle control bit in the confirmation frame as the congestion status flag bit. If the congestion status flag bit is set to 0, the confirmation frame is an ACK that does not carry congestion information. frame; if the congestion flag bit is set to 1, the acknowledgment frame is an ACKC frame carrying congestion information. When the receiver of the data frame replies with an ACKC frame to the sender of the data frame, it means that the receiver is in a congested state; when the receiver of the data frame replies with an ACK frame to the sender of the data frame, it means that the receiver is in a non-congested state.

[0033] 2. In order to judge its own congestion status, divide the buffer of each node in the network into r...

Abstract

The invention discloses a wireless network congestion control method with an attached-type cross-layer design. According to the method, a node is allowed to use an ACK (acknowledgement) frame of a MAC (Media Access Control) layer to attach congestion information of the ACK frame and other nodes evaluate a congestion degree of an ACK frame transmitter through receiving the ACK frame so as to determine whether to transmit data according to the congestion degree. To match the method for carrying out the congestion control, the invention also discloses the following measures: 1. an MAC layer and routing layer cooperative congestion control method for reducing data frame losses; 2, a channel competition back-off method for increasing the congestion releasing speed of a congestion node; and 3, a method for detecting an actual idle channel misjudged by a virtual carrier sensing so as to improve the channel utilization rate. The wireless network congestion control method disclosed by the invention can be used to improve the performance of a transmission layer protocol such as the TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) in a multi-hop wireless network.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of wireless network and network congestion control, in particular to a method for controlling wireless network congestion with incidental cross-layer design. Background technique [0002] The congestion control algorithm of the traditional TCP protocol judges the congestion situation in the network according to the loss of data packets. When the TCP source node determines that the network is congested, it reduces the transmission rate by reducing the congestion control window, and finally achieves the purpose of unblocking the network congestion. However, in a wireless network, due to factors such as wireless channel noise interference, node movement, and hidden terminals, serious packet loss problems will occur. When TCP is applied to a wireless network, the aforementioned packet loss will cause the source node to misjudge that the network is in a congested state, causing the TCP source node to reduce the t...
