Abstract

The invention relates to a data protector for an external memory and a data protection method. The data protector for the external memory comprises a key generator and an address mapping circuit. The code key generator is used for generating a code key for protecting the data of the external memory. The address mapping circuit is used for carrying out encryption operation to an input address for accessing the external memory by using the code key generated by the code key generator so as to generate a target address which corresponds to the input address. The data protector can be used for effectively protecting the data of the external memory.
