Compared to activated carbon fibers prepared using conventional phosphoric acid activation methods currently available on the market, the activated carbon fibers obtained in this application improve the mass transfer efficiency of macromolecular pollutants through their hierarchical porous structure. Furthermore, the pores, after plasma post-treatment, can fully utilize their adsorption and binding capacity for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Therefore, the activated carbon fibers obtained in this application have a higher adsorption capacity for PAHs.
