The invention relates to a preparation process of a mineral composite material capable of adjusting moisture, which is characterized by comprising the following steps of: mixing sepiolite and sulfuric acid at a mass ratio of (1:10) to (1:30), and stirring with a magnetic stirrer for 6-14 hours to prepare a filter cake; crushing the filter cake, mixing the crushed filter cake with deionized water, and stirring, cleaning and filtering the mixture; placing the filter cake into an electric heating vacuum oven, and drying the filter cake at 105 DEG C to the constant weight; and placing the dried filter cake into a constant-temperature drying box or a box type resistance furnace, heating and calcinating the filter cake at 150-500 DEG C for 8 hours, taking out the filter cake, and crushing the filter cake to obtain the moisture adjusting material. By adopting the process, carbonate impurities in the sepiolite mine can be removed, and the pore volume can be increased; the structure of the sepiolite can be completely destroyed, and mineral ingredients can be recombined to form a new mineral phase, i.e. a ramp enstatite phase and a cristobalite phase; and thus the adsorption capacity and the exchange capacity can be improved.
