Abstract

A method for managing data swapping in a migration of virtual memory data in a virtual machine, where the data swapping is from a first host associated with a first storage device to a second host associated with a second storage device, is provided in another embodiment. The method includes receiving a migration instruction indicating the virtual machine to be migrated, and instructing the first host to copy data of the virtual machine to a sub-logical unit in the first storage device, the sub-logical unit having a mirror logical unit in the second storage device.
