[0021] Various embodiments of the invention relate to magnetically shielded lens arrangements for use with communication coils in medical implant systems, such as cochlear implant systems. A planar coil shielding lens is positioned between one of the coils and the electronics module to facilitate coupling of system communication signals between the coils and to shield the electronics module from interacting with magnetic field components of the communication signals.
