Abstract

A system for handwriting input recognition is applied to a handwriting input recognition device with a touch screen, a display control unit and a touch detection unit. The touch detection unit determines touch point coordinates of an input device contacting with the touch screen, and a handwriting recognition module acquires the height and width of a rectangular area where handwriting letters are inputted when a border confirmation module judges that the touch point coordinates are positioned at the border of an input area. A handwriting display module zooms out the letters according to a first preset zooming proportion coefficient and displays the letters as a part of a word. When a handwriting finish judging module determines that word input is finished, a letter combination module adjusts the height value and the width value of each rectangular area to be equal in display proportion according to a second preset zooming proportion coefficient, and continuously displays the height values and the width values in a display area. The invention further provides a method for handwriting input recognition. By means of the method and the system for handwriting input recognition, the technical problem of unreasonableness in display in the prior art due to the fact that long English word cannot be inputted for one time is solved.
