Problems solved by technology

This is the main reason why the removal ratio of cesium from soil remains about 10-30% after conventional washing by water, acid or alkali, and no effective solution to this problem has been found

Embodiment 1

[0082] Decontamination treatment with ammonium bifluoride + (sulfuric acid + KCl) in soil samples dried at 60 °C.

[0083] A soil sample (sample 1) in an amount of 3 g dried at 60°C was dispersed in 100 mL of 10 g / L ammonium bifluoride solution, and placed in an ultrasonic cleaner VS-100III produced by AS ONE Company, and dispersed for 30 minutes at a frequency of 28 kHz . The resultant was washed twice in ion-exchanged water, and subjected to suction filtration after centrifugation.

[0084] Next, the sample on the GF / B filter was dispersed in 100 mL of a mixed solution of 1 mol / L sulfuric acid and 20 g / L-KCl, and then placed in an ultrasonic cleaner to disperse at a frequency of 28 kHz for 30 minutes. The resultant was subjected to suction filtration and then dried in a desiccator at 105° C. for 1 hour to measure the radioactive dose. The results are shown in Table 1.

Embodiment 2-3

[0093] The test was carried out using conditions similar to those of Example 1, except that the treatment time was extended to 60 minutes and 120 minutes using ammonium bifluoride. The results are shown in Table 3.

[0094] [Table 3] Decontamination test results of soil dried at 60°C using ammonium bifluoride + (sulfuric acid + KCl) 2

[0095]

[0096] Examples 1-3 show that the extension of the treatment time with ammonium bifluoride increases the removal ratio of radioactive cesium from the 70% level to the 80% level.

Embodiment 4

[0098] The test was carried out using conditions similar to those of Example 2 except that the treatment liquid 1 containing ammonium bifluoride and KCl was used. The results are shown in Table 4.

[0099] [Table 4] Decontamination test results of (ammonium bifluoride+KCl)+(sulfuric acid+KCl) on soil dried at 60°C

[0100]

[0101] There is no significant difference with the result of Example 2.

Abstract

The invention relates to a decontamination method and an apparatus for solid-state material contaminated by radiocesium. The decontamination method for solid material contaminated by radiocesium, comprising bringing the solid-state material containing radiocesium into contact with a first processing solution and preferably eluting cesium ion from the solid-state material to the liquid phase in the presence of potassium ion or ammonium ion.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to decontamination techniques for solid-like materials contaminated by radioactive cesium released from nuclear power plants, etc. Decontamination method and decontamination apparatus for separation and removal of cesium. Background technique [0002] One way to clean and rehabilitate solid-like materials, especially soils, contaminated with radioactive cesium is by using calcium chloride solutions to stabilize cesium found in carbonate-containing formations or seabeds to prevent remobilization of cesium through groundwater (patent Literature 1). Other proposed methods include a method of extracting cesium using acid under increased pressure and heat (Non-Patent Document 1), a method of evaporating cesium in the gas phase by heating it to 800°C under steam ventilation (Non-Patent Document 2) , a method for extracting cesium using carbonated water (non-patent document 3) and a method for extracting cesium using oxalic aci...
