Abstract

The present application discloses a method and a device for assisting the driving of a vehicle and for obtaining the distance between a first and a second distinguishing sign on or at a road. In terms of methods, the first method includes the following steps: identifying the first distinguishing sign on the road on which the vehicle is running or at the road on which the vehicle is driving, and retrieving the first distinguishing sign from the database for the information on the road or on the road.
