Provided is a work machine that, in order to readily and with high precision measure the number of occurrences of a sequence of digging and loading work or other operations of a digging and loading mechanism, comprises: a time integration unit (31b) that calculates a time-integrated value being a physical amount output in accordance with the operation of operation levers (41, 42), integrated over time; a determination unit (31c) that associates the time-integrated value and a prescribed operation angle for the digging and loading mechanism as a consequence of the operation of the operation levers (41, 42) and, if the time-integrated value is at least a prescribed integrated value, determines that the operation levers (41, 42) have been operated; and a counting unit (31d) that, if each operation of the digging and loading mechanism determined by the determination unit (31c) has occurred in a prescribed order, counts the number of times a sequence of digging and loading work has occurred, counting as one time a sequence of digging and loading mechanism operations that have occurred in the prescribed order.
