Example Embodiment

[0021] Hereinafter, an embodiment embodying the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. figure 1 It is a schematic overall side view showing the structure of the suction catheter. like figure 1 As shown, the suction catheter 10 has a length of 1 m to 2 m, and includes a catheter body 11 and a head 12 attached to the proximal end of the catheter body 11 . The catheter main body 11 includes a main pipe 14 and a guide pipe 15 provided on the front end side of the main pipe 14, and the respective pipes 14, 15 are joined by welding. The main tube 14 has a suction lumen 17 inside, and the guide tube 15 has a guide wire lumen 18 into which a guide wire is inserted.

[0022] Inside the head 12 there is a fluid passage 12 a leading to the suction chamber 17 of the main tube 14 . A syringe is connected to the head portion 12 as a suction tool, and a negative pressure is applied to the suction chamber 17 using the syringe, whereby thrombus can be suctioned ...

Abstract

A suction catheter that can easily be inserted into a curved blood vessel is provided. The suction catheter (10) is characterized by being provided with a main tube (14) having a suction lumen (17) for suctioning foreign matter, and a guide tube (15) that is aligned in a direction that is orthogonal to the axial direction of the main tube (14). The suction catheter (10) is further characterized in that the guide tube (15) comprises: a guide tube body (50) having a tip section (50a) that protrudes from the leading end of the main tube (14); and a leading end tip member (44) that is disposed on the tip section (50a) of the guide tube body (50), and has an outer diameter that is larger than the outer diameter of the guide tube body (50). The suction catheter (10) is further characterized in that the leading end tip member (44) and the main tube (14) are separated from each other.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a suction catheter for sucking and removing debris (foreign matter) such as thrombus and atheroma floating in blood vessels from blood vessels. Background technique [0002] Suction catheters for aspirating and removing foreign substances such as thrombus present in blood vessels have been known for a long time. The suction catheter has a main pipe having a suction lumen inside for attracting foreign matter. When a thrombus in a blood vessel is aspirated using the suction catheter, first, a treatment provider inserts the suction catheter into the blood vessel and moves it so that the opening formed at the distal end of the main tube reaches the treatment target position where the thrombus exists. Then, the suction chamber is negatively pressured using a suction tool attached to the proximal end of the main tube, whereby the thrombus is suctioned and removed through the chamber. [0003] Patent Document 1 discloses a s...
