The invention discloses a method for preparing medicinal dahurian angelica root through a salting technology. The method comprises the following steps: 1, taking root of plant dahurian angelica, and removing soil; 2, preserving the plant dahurian angelica root obtained in step 1 by salt for 4-10d; and 3, taking the plant dahurian angelica root obtained in step 2, washing by using water, and naturally drying to obtain the medicinal dahurian angelica root. The salting technology is adopted to locally process the plant dahurian angelica root in order to rapidly dehydrate and dry. Properties, thin layer chromatographic discrimination, alcohol leachate and the imperatorin content of the traditional Chinese medicine dahurian angelica root produced through adopting the salting technology respectively reach requirements of Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China on quality standards of the traditional Chinese medicine dahurian angelica root, and also accord with the relevant limitation standard of nitrites in salted products. The method provided by the invention solves the problem of massive decaying or mildew of plant dahurian angelica root in a natural drying method, can substitute a sulfur fumigating method and a drying method, and has wide application values.
