Problems solved by technology

[0008] - Strictly monotonic shape and monotonic gradient cannot be guaranteed, the clutch characteristics for determining the position setpoint from the transmitted torque cannot be converted directly and are therefore limited to performing cyclic adjustments to converge towards the final position setpoint ,
[0009] - Lack of feedforward correction forces stronger tuning to compensate for thermal effects, which is not good for initialization of cold clutch features after experiencing a hot environment

Embodiment Construction

[0037] The object of the present invention is, inter alia, to provide a shifting method and an associated shifting device D for shifting the input shaft of an automatic transmission BV by a clutch EM to an automatic transmission BV according to the position of the actuator ACE of the clutch EM Rated change curve of torque transmitted by AE.

[0038] In what follows, as a non-limiting example, an (automatic) gearbox BV is considered as part of a motor vehicle V, for example a passenger car. But the invention is not limited to this application. The invention relates in fact to all systems comprising at least one automatic transmission coupled to a clutch. Thus, the present invention relates in particular to land vehicles (cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, passenger cars (or buses), trucks, road vehicles, construction vehicles, transport vehicles, trains), river and sea vehicles, aircraft, some (public or private) buildings and some (public or private) industrial faciliti...

Abstract

A device (D) for adapting a nominal curve for torque transmitted by a clutch (EM) with respect to a position of an actuator of the clutch (EM) is designed to i) define a readjusted nominal position equal to a nominal position minus a reference position from the nominal curve, (ii) determine, for at least one chosen readjusted nominal position, a difference between an observed torque and an estimated and corrected transmissible torque that is a function of a correction coefficient and of an estimated transmissible torque, a function of the value of a conversion coefficient and of first and second nominal extreme curves, and (iii) determine for each chosen readjusted nominal position, in a readjusted nominal curve, a corresponding nominal torque so that it can be adapted according to the corresponding determined torque difference in order to obtain an adapted nominal torque, and to adapt the readjusted nominal evolution curve as a function of each adapted nominal torque in order to obtain an adapted nominal evolution curve.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the control of torque transmitted by a clutch to an automatic transmission. Background technique [0002] "Automatic transmission" is here understood to mean a transmission whose operation is controlled by a computer or monitoring system. It therefore relates in particular to automated transmissions, manually actuated transmissions or dual clutch transmissions (or DCTs), and more particularly to all transmissions associated with coupling systems of the dry friction or wet friction clutch type. [0003] In some fields, for example in the field of vehicles, optionally in the field of motor vehicles, the speed (or gear ratio) change performance of (automatic) gearboxes and the performance of implementing vehicle motions are mainly determined by the transmission from the clutch to the first transmission of the gearbox. The control accuracy of the torque transmitted by an axis. For precise control of this transmitted torqu...
