Abstract

Based upon experiments, the omeprazole, through oral administration, can take a concrete effect on relieving the autoimmune disease, in particular inflammatory injury caused by the autoimmune disease. Further experiments show that the omeprazole can down-regulate mRNA levels of four proinflammatory cytokines, namely [gamma] interferon in a spleen with EAN (experimental allergic neuritis), tumor necrosis factor [alpha], interleukin 6 and interleukin 17, and meanwhile, the omeprazole can up-regulate mRNA levels of two proinflammatory cytokines, namely interleukin 4 and interleukin 10.
