Problems solved by technology

Therefore, not only the application time of the drive signal, that is, the time related to the ink droplet ejection, but also the application time of the precursor signal, that is, the time when the ink droplet ejection is not related, will generate an electric field of the same potential to the actuator, so there is concern about the cost. excess electricity

Embodiment Construction

[0025] Next, an inkjet head according to an embodiment and an inkjet printer using the same will be described with reference to the drawings. Therefore, in this embodiment, the inkjet head 100 in the sharing mode is exemplified (see figure 1 ) as the inkjet head.

[0026] First, use Figure 1 to Figure 3 The structure of the inkjet head 100 (hereinafter simply referred to as the head 100) will be described. figure 1 is a perspective view showing a part of the head 100 disassembled, figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the front portion of the head 100, image 3 is a cross-sectional view of the front portion of the head 100 .

[0027] The head 100 has a base substrate 9 . In the head 100 , the first piezoelectric member 1 is bonded to the upper surface on the front side of the base substrate 9 , and the second piezoelectric member 2 is bonded to the first piezoelectric member 1 . Such as figure 2 As indicated by arrows in , the joined first piezoelectric member...

Abstract

The present invention provides an inkjet head and an inkjet printer that reduce power consumption when the precursor is slightly vibrated. The inkjet head includes: a pressure chamber filled with ink; a nozzle communicating with the pressure chamber; an actuator changing the volume of the pressure chamber and ejecting ink droplets from the nozzle communicating with the pressure chamber; and a drive circuit. The drive circuit outputs a drive signal including an expansion pulse to expand the volume of the pressure chamber and a contraction pulse to contract the volume of the ink drop when the ink droplet is ejected. The extent of the ink drop causes the volume change of the pressure chamber to be a precursor signal. Also, the drive circuit outputs the precursor signal such that the electric field generated at the actuator by the precursor signal is smaller than the electric field generated at the actuator by the drive signal.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present invention relate to an inkjet head and an inkjet printer using the same. Background technique [0002] The inkjet head includes a pressure chamber filled with ink, an actuator provided in the pressure chamber, and a nozzle communicating with the pressure chamber. Then, when a drive signal is applied to the actuator, the inkjet head vibrates the pressure chamber due to the action of the actuator, changes the volume inside the pressure chamber, and ejects ink droplets from nozzles communicating with the pressure chamber. [0003] In such an inkjet head, there is a problem that intermittent discharge characteristics deteriorate because the nozzles that do not discharge ink droplets do not change the meniscus of the ink. Therefore, in order to improve the intermittent discharge performance, it is known to perform a precursor micro-vibration of the inkjet head. Precursor microvibration is a technology that vibrates the meniscus ...
