The method comprises the steps of storing binary data to be coded in a two-dimensional code as a byte array; performing division by taking two bytes as a group, and if one byte is left finally, enabling the final byte to serve as a separate group; and according to the groups, defaulting low address bytes in each group to high value bytes of digits, defaulting high address bytes in each group to low value bytes of the digits, converting each group of bytes into decimal Arabic digits, and combining conversion results into a string of Arabic characters. According to the method, a mode of transcoding first and coding second is proposed, so that the problem of high crash probability or unfriendly display of a universal two-dimensional code scanning device during two-dimensional code scanning is avoided, namely, binary contents unreadable for naked eyes can be converted into common Arabic digits; and original data is subjected to format transcoding, and a transcoding rule is determined, so that the occupied space is expanded a little after transcoding.
