Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a material selection system for decoration and a material selection method thereof. The material selection system comprises an item establishment module which is used for establishing decoration items; a material database which is used for storing and providing a plurality of candidate materials capable of being selectively used; a material selection module which is used for determining target materials corresponding to the decoration items from the candidate materials according to a selection instruction, wherein the target materials have preset classification; and a scheme storage module which is used for forming corresponding item schemes according to a selection instruction, wherein the item material selection schemes comprise material information and classification information of the target materials. According to the system, real-time material selection can be directly finished in a software design tool; the materials can be previewed in an early stage of a design; a batch material selection function can be directly finished; various materials have classification information; material selection repetition is avoided; and the condition that the materials cannot be found is avoided.
