The siphon irrigation system is mounted at a suspended river or in a river and lake area with water surface altitude higher than ground altitude and comprises a siphon water inlet device, an irrigation water treatment device, a proportioning device and an irrigation device, wherein a water inlet end of the siphon water inlet device is arranged in the river, a water outlet end of the siphon water inlet device is connected with a water inlet end of the irrigation water treatment device, and the altitude of the water inlet end of the siphon water inlet device is higher than that of the water outlet end of the siphon water inlet device; a water outlet end of the irrigation water treatment device is connected with a water inlet end of the proportioning device, and a water outlet end of the proportioning device is connected with the irrigation device.
