The invention discloses a high-performance cluster user system backup and recovery method and apparatus. The apparatus comprises an information confirmation module used for confirming files involved by old cluster user information, an information compression module used for compressing and packaging the files involved by the old cluster user information and copying a compressed package to a new cluster, an information extraction module used for editing and extracting the files of the compressed package in the new cluster to be in a required format and storing the extracted files as temporary files, an information importing module used for outputting the extracted temporary files as user information and importing the user information to the new cluster, and an information check module used for checking whether a result of importing the user information to the new cluster is correct or not. According to the method and the apparatus, the tediousness of manual operation is avoided; the implementation workload is reduced; the project time cost is reduced; the data consistency is ensured; and the change of a compilation environment of an individual user due to a manual importing error is prevented.
