Problems solved by technology

However, the color change of the indicator in this method is extremely difficult to observe, and the end point cannot be accurately judged, which is the main reason for the inaccurate determination.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for measuring the total quantity of hydracids gas released from combustion of a cable. The method comprises the following steps: combusting an electric wire and the cable in a heating furnace; fully absorbing released hydracids gas by using a sodium hydroxide solution; taking a potassium chromate solution as an indicator; and titrating halide ions X<-> by using silver nitrate. Because haloid is salt generated by strong acid, the haloid reacts with silver nitrate at first to generate AgX yellow and white precipitate. After haloid ions and silver ions are completely combined chemically, excessive silver ions react with chromic acid ions to generate pink precipitate for indicating a titration end point. The amount of substances of the haloid ions is the amountof substances of consumed AgNO3, and therefore, the amount of released hydracids gas is calculated. The method has the advantages that the titration end point is obvious, observation is facilitated, and therefore, accuracy of measurement of the content of haloid acid is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a measurement technology for gas released during fire fighting combustion, in particular to a method for measuring the total amount of halogen acid gas released by cable combustion. This determination method is applicable to GB / T17650.1-1998 "Test method for gases released from electric cables or optical cables when they burn - Part 1: Determination of the total amount of halogen acids". Alternative method for the determination of the total amount of halogen acid (except hydrofluoric acid) gases released upon combustion of polymer-based mixtures and halogen-containing additive mixtures. Background technique [0002] The test method used in the standard GB / T17650.1-1998 "Test method for gases released from burning cables or optical cables - Part 1: Determination of the total amount of halogen acid" is that the test material is heated in a dry air flow, The released gas is absorbed in 0.1M sodium hydroxide solution, and then the...
